A woman hospitalized after she was struck by a car in the Atlantic City Expressway on Tuesday has been identified as a Barnegat resident.
Gina Cometa, 36, was a passenger in a car involved in an accident near mike marker 7.4 westbound, State Police said.
When she got out of the car, she was struck and seriously injured.
The original incident was still under investigation Thursday.
