Reward for info leading to alleged Cumberland County wife-killer increases

  • News
[gallery ids="1444,1424,1553"] The Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office has more than tripled a reward first offered by State Police in the killing of a Commercial Township woman more than a week ago. Tara O'Shea, 36, was found dead inside her home Dec. 19, and her estranged husband is charged. Jeremiah Monell, 32, was charged that day, but has not been apprehended, although the truck he was driving has been found. State Police announced a $1,000 reward on Saturday. Now, the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office is offering a reward of as much as $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Monell. Monell physical abused O'Shea for years, and she recently got a restraining order and was divorcing him, friends say. Law enforcement has released no details about how O'Shea died. Friends and family told 6ABC
that O'Shea's estranged husband slit her throat, killing her, in front of their 12-year-old son. Monell is described as a 5-foot-9 white male weighing about 140 pounds. His bail is set at $1 million. A GoFundMe page has been set up for O'Shea. Anyone with information is asked to contact the New Jersey State Police Port Norris Station at 856-785-0036. Anonymous tips are welcome.
