Cumberland County pair allegedly had thousands of dollars in drugs, cash

A Cumberland County man and woman were charged with having thousands of dollars in drug during a car stop this week.
Ralph Bunton, 40, of Bridgeton, was stopped by NJ State Trooper Jonathan Cobb for a traffic violation Tuesday morning in Fairfield Township, according to the report.
During the stop, it was discovered that Bunton's passenger, Iyana Byrd, was wanted on a warrant, State Police said.
Byrd, 48, of Rosenhayne, was arrested without incident.
But further investigation found the pair was in possession of $3,600 in crack cocaine and $900 worth of marijuana, along with more than $21,550 in cash, according to the report.
Both were charged with possession and possession with intent to distribute and are lodged in the Cumberland County Jail pending a detention hearing.
