Galloway man admits stealing vehicle, $3,600 in tools and fleeing a search

A Galloway Township man pleaded guilty Thursday to three cases within three months.
Jesse Winters, 44, admitted to stealing a vehicle from the Red Roof Inn and Suites in Galloway Feb. 21, 2025, and then a week later stealing more than $3,600 in tools from the Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City.

Winters pleaded guilty to third-degree charges of theft of a motor vehicle and burglary in the two cases.

He additionally pleaded guilty to fourth-degree obstruction for fleeing his Morton Avenue home when a warrant was served Dec. 3, 2024. 

He was arrested in the nearby woods.

Winters faces three years when he is sentenced July 9. There is no mandatory term of parole ineligibility.

Winters has been in the Atlantic County Justice Facility since Aug. 1.
