Two men — including one just out of prison — were arrested allegedly with a loaded gun during a car stop Friday.
Louis Roe Jr., 21, of Atlantic City, was pulled over by Officers Christopher Dodson and Alberto Valles at about 3:40 p.m., Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
They investigated, and found a loaded handgun inside, according to the report.
Roe and his passenger, Naim Naji, were arrested.
Naji, 30, of Brigantine, was then found to have more than 14 grams of cocaine hidden in his pants, Fair said.
Court records show Naji just got out of Bayside State Prison on Aug. 24, after serving more than seven years in prison on robbery and aggravated assault charges.
Roe was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, a contempt of court warrant and motor vehicle summons.
Naji was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession with the intent to distribute, possession of a firearm while committing a drug offense, and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
Both were taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
