Middle Township man charged in Cape overdose death

A Middle Township man is charged in the overdose death of another Cape May County man this week.
Sonny Sinnerard, 23, was found dead at a home in the township’s Burleigh section Wednesday, after police responded to a 911 call about an unresponsive male.
A joint investigation by the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Middle Township Detective Bureau found that Daniel Osmundsen sold Sinnerard the suspected heroin early that morning, Cape May County Prosecutor Robert Johnson said.
Osmundsen, 26, was charged first-degree strict liability, and two counts each of possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance and possession of a CDS.
He is being lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center.
Prosecutor Johnson advises that persons convicted of a first degree crime are subject to a term of imprisonment of 10 to 20 years in New Jersey State Prison and persons convicted of a third degree crime are subject to a term of imprisonment of 3 to 5 years in New Jersey State Prison.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to help pay funeral expenses for Sinnerard. Anyone willing to contribute can click here.
