Atlantic City police arrested two men and recovered heroin and ammunition last week.
The three-week investigation by Detective Garry Stowe led to a search of an apartment in the 500 block of South Carolina Avenue, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
Tevin Spivey — the target of the investigation — was arrested after leaving the apartment, and found with 22 bags of heroin, according to the report.
A second man, Steven Dunston, was arrested inside the apartment after the detectives entered, Fair said.
During their search, detectives found 120 individual bags of heroin, several grams of unpackaged heroin, and materials to package heroin into individual bags.
They also found a large amount of hollow-point ammunition.
Spivey, 27, of Atlantic City, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession with intent to distribute, possession with intent to distribute within a school zone, maintaining a drug production facility and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
Dunston, 24, also of Atlantic City, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession with intent to distribute, possession within a school zone, and possession of ammunition without a firearm’s identification card.
He was released on a summons with a future court date.
