Ten people who allegedly worked for a drug-ring run by an Atlantic City man charged in three drug deaths have been indicted.
Five of them are also charged with drug-inducted death strict liability.
George Stokes allegedly ran the narcotics-trafficking network that has been linked to the fentanyl-related deaths of Hector Santos, William Ang and Caroline Boothby, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon Tyner said.
“Drug dealers should be aware that if you sell drugs that cause the death of others, they will be charged with homicide,” Tyner said.
Philip Eldred, 30, of Egg Harbor Township, is charged in the Aug. 2 death of Boothby at her Margate home. He's additionally charged with drug-manufacturing facility, handgun possession, conspiracy and five counts of drug distribution.
Four people are linked to the June 3 death of William Ang: Jesus Baker, Khrystian Morris, Alissa Cunningham and Jessica Downey.
Baker, 39, of Ocean City, and Morris, 31, of Margate, are still being sought. They also face distribution charges, and Morris is charged with a drug-manufacturing facility.
Cunningham, 30, of Ocean City, is in the Cape May County Jail. She also has several distribution charges.
Downey, 39, of Atlantic City, is in the Intensive Care Unit at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's Mainland Campus in Galloway Township. Tyner did not release why.
She also faces a third-degree drug-distribution charge.
Angel Cruz, 34, and Sean Devinney, 25, both of Atlantic City, are charged with two counts of drug distribution, and are in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
Summonses are pending for Russel Krumaker, 40, and Taiwan West, 38, both of Atlantic City, on third-degree charges of drug distribution and conspiracy.
A summons is also pending for Joseph Smalley, 30, of Atlantic City for third-degree distribution and possession with intent to distribute in a school zone.
