Philadelphia man arrested in Atlantic City knife attack

  • News
A Philadelphia man was arrested Monday after he allegedly slashed a man with a knife during an altercation. Officers were called to Sovereign and Atlantic avenues at 5:36 p.m. for the report of a man cut on the hand, Sgt. Kevin Fair said. Officer Robert Reynolds found the 55-year-old victim, who said he was cut by a man who fled. The victim was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center’s City Campus. Reynolds got a description of the suspect, who was found in the bus lobby of Tropicana Casino and Resort by Officers Sean McGettigan and Brandon Bower. Jones was taken into custody without incident and the knife was found in his jacket pocket, Fair said.
