Man accused in Stockton rape suits indicted

  • Crime-Courts

A Stockton University graduate accused of sexual assaults in federal civil suits has been indicted for invasion of privacy and aggravated criminal sexual contact, First Assistant Prosecutor Cary Shill announced Thursday.

Zachary Madle, 25, is accused of recording the inappropriate touching of a woman Feb. 15, 2017, that he then posted on Snapchat, according to the charges. But it wasn't just touching, according to the woman's lawsuit.

The woman, identified in court documents only as M.R., claims Madle spiked her drink when he was at her Stockton dorm on Valentine's Day.

She blacked out and “woke up naked, confused, choking and covered in vomit,” the suit claims. M.R. later found three Snapchat stories showing the alleged sex assault, including one in which she was naked. Madle is also named in a second suit leveled at him, Stockton and Pi Kappa Phi — a fraternity not recognized by the school since 2010.

K.S. was a first-year Stockton student when she met Madle at a Pi Kappa party Oct. 20, 2017. She was having consensual sex with Madle when he allegedly became abusive and “began to hit, bit and choke” her, the suit claims.

She blacked out during the alleged assault. At another party that Nov. 9, she avoided Madle who then allegedly turned his attention to her friend. After K.S. came to the girl's rescue telling him, “She’s drunk, leave her alone!” he pulled K.S. into a bathroom and raped  her, the suit claims.

Madle had been charged only with the invasion of privacy

Madle worked as a bartender at the Flow House in Wildwood. They have not returned several requests to see if he still works there.

But he is apparently working on an acting career. Several Facebook posts show scenes from a movie being filmed called, "Strayed: A Dogs Tale" with Madle tagged in them.

He has a listing as one of the top actors in the movie on IMDB, and has his own actor's page, which lists him as playing "Nick" in the movie in addition to serving as the boom operator for the movie.
