A Galloway Township man was arrested after he crashed into a Pleasantville front porch while fleeing a motor vehicle with a gun and drugs, police said.
Samad Dudley, 18, was driving on Pleasant Avenue just west of Main Street when Patrolman Jean Antoine tried to stop him at about 10:45 a.m., Capt. Matt Hartman said.
Dudley refused to stop, and led Antoine on a brief pursuit before losing control and striking the fence of two homes on the 100 block of West Adams Avenue. He struck the porch of the second home, then ran from the car, according to the report.
Antoine caught Dudley at the corner of Adams Avenue and North First Street.
Dudley had a loaded handgun and 123 bags of suspect heroin/fentanyl, Hartman said.
He was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of heroin, possession with intent to distribute, possession within a school zone, possession of a firearm while committing a drug offense, resisting arrest by flight and eluding.
Dudley was taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility pending a detention hearing.
