Camden man charged in sex assault of Atlantic City hotel housekeeper

  • News

A Camden man was arrested after he allegedly sexually assaulted a Claridge Hotel housekeeper inside a hotel room.
Police were called to the hotel on South Indiana Avenue at 3:14 p.m. Tuesday.
A Claridge employee followed the suspect on to the Boardwalk, where Officer John Bell took the man into custody.
Kye Hardison, 33, is accused of sexually and physically assaulting a 61-year-old employee.
The victim first saw Hardison inside a 12-floor room, which he illegally entered, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
Hardison left the room, but when the woman went back into the room, he pushed her inside, where he assaulted her, according to the report.
He then fled the room, and was soon arrested.
Hotel security and surveillance personnel assisted in the investigation.
Hardison is charged with sexual assault, simple assault and burglary. He is in the Atlantic County Justice Facility, awaiting a detention hearing.
