  • News

Three Atlantic County men were jailed after drugs and a gun were found during a traffic stop in Galloway Township.

The stop just after noon Tuesday on the White Horse Pike led to the recovery of a loaded 9mm Intratec TEC-DC9 firearm with an extended magazine and nearly 150 bags of heroin, according to the report.

Paul Sexton, Tylee Adams and Quasir Smith were charged with conspiracy, unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of a firearm during the commission of a CDS offense.

Sexton, 35, of Egg Harbor Township, was also found with 48 bags of heroin, Lt. Christopher McGinty said.

He was additionally charged with tampering with evidence and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. Sexton was sentenced to two years of probation in a 2008 drug case, court records show.

Adams, 19, of Pleasantville, was found with 101 bags of heroin and less than 50 grams of marijuana, McGinty said.

Sexton, Adams and Smith, 20, of Absecon, were taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility on warrants.
