A local nonprofit spent the first weekend of the New Year feeding the community.
A-WISH focuses its programs on youth and their families, targeting those ages 11 to 18.
But this weekend, they reached out to the entire community to help feed those in need.
On Saturday, they did a bag giveaway in Atlantic City.
Then, at 3 p.m. Sunday, they were heading to the Pleasantville bus station to provide food and drink.
Mac Grovekkb and Badiah Bleu are sponsoring the event, said CEO Aseealah Davis.
"Our organization is trained to help anyone that needs assistance based on eligibility requirements," she said.
