Tyquan McClarin-Lamar, 25, is accused of four counts of aggravated assault in the incident that happened Tuesday night in the 100 block of N. North Carolina Avenue.

Police were called to the apartment at 5:24 p.m. and found the 23-year-old woman with a gunshot wound, Lt. Kevin Fair said.

She was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus for her injury, which was not considered life-threatening.

Three small children were present at the time, Fair said.

He is additionally charged with weapons offenses, including possession by a convicted felon along with three counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
