A Pleasantville man just released from prison was charged with running a drug-manufacturing facility with weapons.

Police were called to the 400 block of Sunset Court on Friday, where police were met by the caller, Capt. Stacey Schlachter said.

Officers parked their vehicles around the residence and contacted the occupants by telephone, ordering them out of the house, she said. They were then detained without incident.

A Tech-22 assault firearm was found along with additional ammunition, a rifle foregrip, and a locked metal safe were seized.

A sawed-off shotgun with a red/gray backpack, along with 116 bags of heroin, 96 vials of crack/cocaine, and marijuana were also recovered during the investigation, Schlachter said.

He was just released from prison Sept. 27, records show.
