Ventnor City's Department of Code Enforcement is under investigation, the police chief confirmed Monday.
The office was closed as the investigation is conducted, Chief Joe Fussner said.
The probe is a joint effort between the Police Department and the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.
The Department of Community Affairs did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
