Two teens were arrested and four others are being sought after a vehicle was stolen from Northfield in an armed home invasion Saturday morning.
Police were called to Shore Road and Mimi Court at 8:45 a.m. for a head-on crash involving a vehicle stolen from Delaware on Friday night, Capt. Steve Steinecke said.
The victim in the other vehicle suffered serious bodily injury, according to the report.
Six subjects ran from the stolen vehicle east toward Wabash Avenue, where police were called minutes for an armed home invasion, Steinecke said.
Sgt. Justin Heller responded to the call in the call in the 2000 Block of Wabash Avenue in time to see a Porsche being stolen from the area.
A motor vehicle pursuit ensued but was terminated due to the extremely dangerous driving of the stolen vehicle, Steinecke said.
Northfield Detective Sgt. Michael Buccafurni and Detective Matthew Locotos responded to the scene.
The vehicle was tracked to an apartment complex in Wilmington, Dela.
Two 16-year-olds were arrested by Delaware State Police.
The Delaware residents were charged with four counts of conspiracy, and two counts each of robbery, burglary with attempted bodily injury with a handgun, unlawful possession of a handgun, unlawful use of a handgun, theft of a motor vehicle, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, assault by auto and leaving the scene of an accident with serious bodily injury.
The handgun was not recovered.
The extradition process has begun to bring the juveniles to Atlantic County.
Police did not know if they were currently being held.
A search for the other four suspects continues.
