A Philadelphia couple is in jail after they allegedly left a man seriously injured during an armed robbery this weekend.
Anthonia Taylor, 58, and Berniesha Crosby, 31, are charged with attempted murder, armed robbery, conspiracy, robbery and weapons offenses in the attack.
Police were called to Kentucky and Pacific avenues at 9:34 Saturday morning for the report of a man stabbed multiple times, Lt. Kevin Fair said.
The 30-year-old Philadelphia man was bleeding profusely when police found him, according to the report.
Officers Troy Grams, Courtney Campbell and Christopher Campbell rendered aid, including applying a tourniquet, Fair sadi.
The victim, whose name was not released, was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus with serious but non-fatal injuries.
Surveillance Center personnel were able to locate and track the suspects who threw the knife onto the roof of a nearby building before fleeing onto the Boardwalk, Fair said.
Officers Scott Sendrick and Maria Borsani found the suspects.
They were taken into custody without incident.
Officers also learned that the couple stole numerous personal belongings from the victim during the assault, Fair said.
Both were wanted on warrants in a drug case out of Bellmawr, records show.
Taylor and Crosby are in the Atlantic County Justice Facility pending detention hearings.
