  • News
An Atlantic City man was wounded in a shooting in Pleasantville on Thursday night. Police were called to Main Street and West Jersey Avenue at about 8:30 p.m. for the report of a man down, Capt. Matt Hartman said. Just before the call, Patrol Officer Astrid Aurelus heard what she believed were two gunshots as she was heading north from the intersection of Green and Main streets, according to the report. As Aurelus turned the corner, she found Anthony Johnson, 44, lying on the sidewalk at the rear of Crown Chicken with a gunshot wound to his right thigh, Hartman said. Johnson was taken to the Trauma Unit at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City. The injury is not considered life-threatening. Anyone with information should call Detective Pablo Solorzano at 6099-641-6100.
