Police: Driver didn't have license but did have a lot of pot

  • News
An Atlantic City man was arrested Friday after a motor vehicle stop revealed he didn't have  a license, but did have a pound of marijuana and several warrants. Officer Jonathan Walsh stopped the car at about 8:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of Sewell Avenue for an equipment violation, according to the report. The driver, Robert Creek, had no license but did have contempt of court warrants, Sgt. Kevin Fair said. As the officer spoke with Creek, he smelled "the strong odor of unburnt marijuana," according to Walsh's report. Creek was removed from the car, and a pound of marijuana was found inside, Fair said. Creek, 36, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession with intent to distribute and possession within 500 feet of a public zone. He was taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility on $50,000 bail.
