An Atlantic City man was arrested Wednesday in the Jan. 3 killing of an man inside his city home.
Steven Loughney, 28, was found shot to death at about 9:45 p.m. inside his residence on the 200 block of South Metropolitan Avenue.
An autopsy found he died of a shotgun wound to the right groin, acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Diane Ruberton said.
A nine-month investigation found Loughney was the target of a robbery of drugs.
Kevin Quince, 27, of the 900 block of Baltic Avenue, has been charged with murder, felony murder, robbery along with several conspiracy charges and weapons offenses.
Ruberton's office would not comment on possible accomplices or what type of drugs were involved.
Quince is currently on probation for a 2015 heroin charge, court records show.
He was taken into custody at a Pleasantville restaurant on Route 322 without incident by detectives from the Prosecutor's Office along with Pleasantville police.
Quince is being held in the Atlantic County Justice Facility on $500,000 full cash bail.
