Adalberto Tobi was shot Sept. 25.
Now he's charged in a shootout a week earlier with the alleged shooter's brother.
A man shot in Atlantic City last month is now charged in a shootout with his alleged attacker's brother.
Adalberto Tobi, 21, was found shot in the area of South Carolina and Baltic avenues at about 2 a.m. Sept. 25.
A few days later, Kalim Jackson, 31, was charged with aggravated assault and weapons offenses in the shooting.
About a week earlier, Jackson's brother, Naim, was arrested after a shots fired call led to him hiding in a car with his two young children — and a gun under the baby seat, according to police. Police found evidence there had been a shootout, although no one was injured.
An investigation led by Detective Innocenzo Visceglia of the Violent Crimes Unit, it was determined that Tobi and Naim Jackson had shot at each other. Tobi was arrested Wednesday and is charged with aggravated assault, conspiracy, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon.
This is not Tobi's first time arrested in a shooting. He was 19 when he was accused of wounding two men in a 2014 shooting. He was indicted on two counts of aggravated assault, along with weapons offenses. Court records show he pleaded guilty to one count of fourth-degree aggravated assault, and was given a sentence of 18 months of parole ineligibility. He served 547 days in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
He is now being held on $100,000 bail.
