The federal sentencing for the owners of Manco & Manco scheduled for Thursday was moved for a fifth time.
Charles and Mary Bangle pleaded guilty in July 2015 to tax evasion.
They were originally scheduled to be sentenced Nov. 5 of that year. There is no record in the federal filings as to why the postponements have been made.
But, as a result, the couple was able to hold a large 60th anniversary celebration for the Boardwalk pizza mainstay in August.
The couple admitted to federal agents that they deposited more cash in their personal account than hey reported as payroll in their tax forms, according to documents filed in federal court. The unreported money was from the pizza business and the couple's Linwood accountant was unaware of the money, one report states.
Both Charles and Mary Bangle "apologized for lying to the agents earlier about taking cash from the business," according to a memorandum of their interview. "They both said they were relieved that this is coming out because they have been concerned about getting caught for a long time."
Charles Bangle indicated he wanted to resolve the matter and to make an effort to repay the money.
It remains unclear whether any payments have been made and what if any monitors are being put on the couple now.
The new sentencing date is set for 10 a.m. Jan. 20, according to the federal case listing.
