  • News

An Atlantic City man  who served prison time in a 2009 shooting was indicted Tuesday morning for murder in the victim's death four years after the shooting.
Germaine Boothe, 27, is currently serving an eight-year sentence as part of a plea in the shooting of Malik Green who was shot Nov. 22, 2009, at what was then Hudson's Bar and Grill on the first block of South New York Avenue.
Green was paralyzed from the neck down in the shooting.
He died Jan. 22, 2014, in Philadelphia.
An investigation led to the murder charge, alleging the 2009 shooting led to his death more than four years later, acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Diane Ruberton said.
Boothe was released from South Woods State Prison on Oct. 8, according to the state Department of Corrections online. He is now in the Atlantic County Justice Facility on the new charge.
