An assistant city solicitor for Atlantic City lost his license last week after he was found guilty of leaving the scene of an accident in a city vehicle.
Karl Timbers had his license suspended for six months following a brief trial before Brigantine Municipal Court Judge Timothy Maguire.
Timbers was driving the solicitor’s city-issued vehicle when he had a minor accident with another car, according to information released in court.
He did not respond to repeated attempts for an interview by the Atlantic City officer investigating the crash, according to testimony.
“Although Mr. Timbers has indicated he will file an appeal, we cannot comment any further because it’s a personnel action,” said Chris Filiciello, the mayor’s chief of staff.
Neither Timbers nor his boss, Anthony Swan, replied to attempts for comment for this story.
