  • News
An Atlantic City man wanted on several warrants was arrested Wednesday with an ounce of cocaine, police said. John Field was the passenger in a car stopped at about 12:45 p.m., when Detective William Warner and others from the Vice Unit were conducting a narcotics investigation in the 600 block of Albany Avenue. Field, 25, was arrested on several outstanding contempt of court warrants, Sgt. Kevin Fair said. He was also found with an ounce of cocaine, and charged with drug offenses, including possession within 500 feet of a public zone. He was taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility. The driver, Fernando Martinez, was also arrested after he was found in possession of marijuana, Fair said. Martinez, 25, of Atlantic City, was issued a summons for possession, and released.
