Eagles fan's obituary give everyone a last laugh

  • News
Everyone who met Jeffrey Clayton Riegel loved him, according to his obituary. But on Thursday, even those who never got a chance to meet the Port Republic man were feeling a little love — and getting a good laugh. Thanks to the "miracle of time," the 56-year-old was able to give one last wish before his death Aug. 18,
the obituary reads. "He requested to have 8 Philadelphia Eagles as pall bearers so the Eagles can let him down one last time." That line not only illustrated the frustration of many a fan, but captured national attention Thursday, the day Riegel was laid to rest. https://twitter.com/1eternalfan/status/900741946959831040 https://twitter.com/Juslisun2DaMsg/status/900544716655271936 https://twitter.com/Indianapolis_NC/status/900901082972397569 https://twitter.com/Premku1/status/900881435699150849
