One dead, two wounded in Pleasantville shooting

A Pleasantville man is dead and two others hospitalized in a shooting Saturday night. Josue Demosthenes, 29, was killed in the shooting on the 600 block of Tilton Road, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon Tyner said. A 21-year-old man and 23-year-old woman were also wounded in the shooting. Their names have not been released. Police were called to the just before 7 p.m. but the victims had already been taken from the scene in a car. That car, with two men and a woman, wound up outside AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus. The unfolding scene outside the Atlantic City hospital drew lots of attention from the public. An autopsy is scheduled Sunday for Demosthenes. The other two victims remain hospitalized. Their injuries are not considered life-threatening.
