A Bridgeton man has been identified as the suspect
killed by Bridgeton police Friday.
Darryl Fuqua, 23, was shot by at least one officer as police chased him along Fremont Avenue at about 4 p.m. Friday.
The Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office is investigating the shooting, Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae said.
The prosecutor has not said why police were chasing Fuqua.
He previously served jail time for heroin possession. He served 180 days in jail and was given a years' probation in 2015, according to court recorts.
