An 11-year-old boy was suspended after bringing a knife and "kill list" to his Egg Harbor Township school,
The Current of Egg Harbor Township reported.
A parent whose child is in fifth grade at the Dr. Joyanne D. Miller School told interim Superintendent Fred Nickles about the Feb. 9 incident the next day, Nickles told the paper.
"This student had indicated to different students that he had the steak knife," Nickles was quoted by the paper. "He also had a list of certain individuals that he was going to take some type of action against."
The fifth-grader was suspended, Nickles said, and the police were notified. It is still under investigation.
"We are currently having the student evaluated by our child study team, and all the parents of the students involved have been notified," he said.
There was not a message put out beyond those students involved, and Nickles said he believes it was handled the right way.
