An Atlantic City man is being sought in a shooting incident from last month.
No one was injured when shots were fired in Venice Park at about 4:15 p.m. Jan. 25, but an investigation by the city's Violent Crimes Unit found that there was an intended target, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
Police are not naming that man. They are, however, naming a man they say was involved in the shooting.
Sharod Taylor, 29, is charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
Taylor was arrested in 2013 as part of the alleged Blockstarz gang. He pleaded guilty to a drug charge in that case, and was given probation, court records show. He has a violation and was sentenced to 155 day in jail this past November. It was not clear when he was arrested on that charge or when got out.
Anyone who knows Taylor's whereabouts is asked to call the Violent Crimes Unit at 609-347-5788 or anonymously text tip411 (847411) beginning the text with ACPD.
