A woman was injured in a crash with a street sweeper early Monday morning crash that closed part of the Black Horse Pike in Egg Harbor Township for two hours, police said.
Daveiba Martinez, 49, of Egg Harbor City, was heading east on the Black Horse Pike when her vehicle crossed the concrete median and drove head on into a street sweeper driven by David Lippincott, 60, of Williamstown, who was heading west, Lt. Robert Gray said.
Martinez suffered a head injury and was treated at the scene by the Egg Harbor Township Ambulance Squad and AtlantiCare paramedics.
She was then taken to the Trauma Center at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City with serious injuries, Gray said.
The Black Horse Pike was closed for two hours for the investigation and cleanup.
