An Atlantic City man was arrested in a stabbing Sunday with help from casino security officers.
Officer Thomas McCabe responded to the call of a fight on the Boardwalk outside Bally's Hotel and Casino at midnight, and found Ramy Nammour, 25, bleeding heavily from a stab wound, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
Witnesses pointed out the alleged attacker, Bashaun Hood, who still had a knife in his hand, according to the report.
Hood refused McCabe's orders to drop the knife, and then ran.
McCabe gave first aid to Nammour, because he was severely injured and medical personnel had not yet arrived, Fair said.
Security Officers Vinny D'Alessandro and Christopher Bultes found Hood and detained him inside Bally's after he came back inside trying to run, Fair said.
He was arrested by Officer Michael Gunnser.
Nammour as taken to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus for his injuries.
Hood, 24, is charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon, resisting arrest, obstruction of justice and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
He was taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
