An Atlantic City male was arrested Sunday after stabbing another male.
Officers Brian McKinney and James Andros were patrolling Atlantic Avenue when they were stopped just before 1 a.m., by a 48-year-old man who was bleeding. The victim said he had been stabbed.
Through an investigation by the officers, the suspect was identified as Javier Urena-Polanco.
Officers Sean Pettit and Tyler Daily located Urena-Polanco several blocks from the area and took him into custody. The victim was transported to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division with a non-life threatening injury.
ARRESTED: Javier Urena-Polanco, a 46 year old male from Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Aggravated Assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
Urena-Polanco was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
