Man arrested in Atlantic City stabbing

An Atlantic City male was arrested Sunday after stabbing another male. Officers Brian McKinney and James Andros were patrolling Atlantic Avenue when they were stopped just before 1 a.m., by a 48-year-old man who was bleeding. The victim said he had been stabbed. Through an investigation by the officers, the suspect was identified as Javier Urena-Polanco. Officers Sean Pettit and Tyler Daily located Urena-Polanco several blocks from the area and took him into custody. The victim was transported to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division with a non-life threatening injury. ARRESTED: Javier Urena-Polanco, a 46 year old male from Atlantic City. CHARGES: Aggravated Assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. Urena-Polanco was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
