An Atlantic City man was wounded Wednesday night in the city's second shooting in less than 24 hours.
The shooter is still being sought, but a man was arrested at the scene with a stolen gun, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
The ShotSpotter audio gunshot-detection system alerted police to the 1500 block of Atlantic Avenue near the Kentucky Fried Chicken.
Officer Jonathan Walsh found several men fighting when he arrived at the scene and found one had a loaded handgun, according to the report.
Walsh was able to disarm Ladell Mayers and take him into custody. He found that the gun was reported stolen.
Mayers, 21, was not involved in the shooting, but was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a handgun and receiving stolen property.
Witnesses told police that one man had been shot and was driven to the hospital.
Raheem Miller, 24, later showed up at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus. His injury was not considered life-threatening.
It was the second shooting in which someone was injured in the city in less than 24 hours.
A man was wounded in a shootout Tuesday night in the area of Adams Court.
No arrests have been made in either shooting.
