An Atlantic City teen allegedly threw an elderly woman to the ground and robbed her this week.
The 16-year-old was arrested Tuesday, after he was identified through a flyer with his picture on it from surveillance footage, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
The unnamed woman was attacked at about 6:20 a.m. Monday, in the area of Columbia Place and the Boardwalk, according to the report.
Officers in the city's Surveillance Center began reviewing footage from the area, and were able to capture images of the suspect, Fair said.
At the scene, Officer Brian Page followed the path the suspect was seen running in, and some of the stolen property was found.
The victim as treated at the scene by medical personnel.
Sgts. Andrew Leonard and Richard Andrews arrested the teen at 8:53 p.m. Tuesday in the 1400 block of Magellan Avenue.
He was taken to the Harborfields Detention Facility on a robbery charge.
The case was investigated by Detective Matthew Cocuzza.
