Ex-Pleasantville Housing Authority manager admits stealing money

  • News
A former Pleasantville Housing Authority manager admitted this week that she stole money intended for tenants in Atlantic City. Cheryl Bradshaw, 60, of Atlantic City, was arrested in April on charges of official misconduct and theft by failure to make required disposition of property received. She pleaded guilty Monday to keeping 13 U.S. Housing and Urban Development checks meant to offset utility costs for nine tenants of the Barlinvis Apartments in Atlantic City, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon Tyner announced Thursday. She also took a $9.39 toilet seat and had it installed in her home. She was fired Feb. 2. As part of the plea agreement, Bradshaw will get probation when she is sentenced Sept. 8, before Superior Court Judge Patricia Wild. She also must repay the $826, and forfeit public employment. Bradshaw turned herself in in April, and has remained free on a summons. https://breakingac.com/housing-authority-property-manager-accused-of-stealing-checks-meant-for-atlantic-city-tenants/
