Bridgeton man indicted in prostituting child, two women

  • News

A Bridgeton man was indicted Tuesday for human-trafficking of a child and two adults.

Marcus Tukes, 47, was arrested at the Knights Inn in December following an investigation by the FBI's Child Exploitation Task Force.

He was arrested with Courtney Glose, 31, of Brigantine, who has since pled guilty to providing a hotel room for the girl to be prostituted in, and agreed to testify truthfully against Tukes, if necessary.

He is charged with human trafficking because he "did knowingly hold, recruit, lure, entice, harbor, transport, provide or obtain ... a child under the age of 18 ... to engage in sexual activity as defined in the prosit union statute," according to the charge.

He also was indicted on charges of endangering the welfare of a child, two count of human trafficking for allegedly forcing the two adults into prostitution and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
