  • News
A little boy was seriously injured Monday afternoon when he was struck by a school bus while crossing an Atlantic City street with his family, police said. The unnamed boy, 4, was hit on Filbert Avenue by an Atlantic County Special Needs District school bus as it turned off Harrisburg Avenue, Sgt. Kevin Fair said. The driver, a 43-year-old Millville woman, immediately stopped her bus, which had students in it, according to the report. The boy, whose name is not being released, is being treated at Cooper University Hospital in Camden for serious injuries. A witness told Breaking AC that the boy ran into the street. The accident is being investigated by Officer Eric O'Neill-Knuttel. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call police at 609-347-5744.
