Egg Harbor Township police are investigating the armed robbery of a gas station just after midnight Thursday.
Younis Perves, 57, an employee at Conoco Gas in West Atlantic City, told police the suspect forced his way into the gas booth, brandished a handgun and demanded money.
Perves was not injured.
The suspect fled on foot west on the Black Horse Pike, with an undetermined amount of cash and cigarettes.
He is described as a heavy-set white male with a possible beard. He was last seen wearing light colored pants, a dark jacket and a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt underneath.
