Three arrested in drug investigation targeting two Atlantic City residences

  • News
Two search warrants led to three arrests, drugs and a handgun Friday morning in Atlantic City. The Vice Unit and SWAT teams searched the Fox Manor Motel on Pacific Avenue and a residence in the 600 block of South Drive in the city's Chelsea Heights section, Sgt. Kevin Fair said. The investigation was sparked by resident complaints of drug distribution in those areas. Isiah Fields, 19, and Chelsea Ritzel, 24, were arrested at Fox Manor. Fields was charged with several drug offenses after police found nearly an ounce of marijuana, heroin and packaging materials, according to the report. Ritzel was charged with hindering apprehension. Darryl Royal, 44, was arrested inside the Chelsea Heights residence, where detectives found cocaine, packaging materials and a handgun, Fair said. He is charged with drug and weapons offenses and sent to the Atlantic County Justice Facility. Fields and Ritzel were released on summonses.
