An Atlantic City man was arrested hours after he allegedly stabbed a woman Sunday, police said Wednesday.
A 41-year-old woman was found stabbed at about 2:15 a.m., when Officers Sumon Majumder and Lennin Moya responded to at call to Vermont Plaza, at 130 S. Vermont Ave.
The woman, whose name was not released, was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus with non-life threatening injuries.
Anthony Washington was identified as the suspect through an investigation by Detectives Matt Cocuzza and Roberto Matos, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
Washington was arrested at 8 p.m., when officers responded to a dispute between him and another person in the 100 block of North Rhode Island Avenue.
Officer Ryan Kov took Washington into custody as he was leaving the area.
Washington, 40, is charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
He was taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
