A man was injured when he flipped his vehicle after hitting an Atlantic City Boardwalk ramp.
The 55-year-old Forked River man, whose name was not released, was traveling down Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at a high rate of speed, witnesses told police.
He struck the ramp, causing the vehicle to flip on its side and strike a building, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
The driver was removed from the vehicle by members of the Atlantic City Fire Department, and taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus for treatment.
Before hitting the ramp, the man struck a light pole, a fire hydrant and side-swiped a parked vehicle, according to the report.
The Boardwalk and building sustained damage from impact of the accident.
The cause of the accident is under investigation by Officer Jimmy Rodriguez of the Accident Investigations Section. No charges have been filed at this time.
