Two Atlantic City men were arrested Thursday in an August robbery where they allegedly assaulted a man and shot at him as he ran.
Adalberto Tobi, 22, and Dayshawn Brown, 23, is each charged with robbery, aggravated assault and conspiracy, along with gun and drug charges.
Tobi already has a pending gun charge from a shootout last year.
The attack happened at about 3 a.m. Aug. 24, in the 1300 block of Drexel Avenue. Police were called to the scene by an alert from the ShotSpotter audio gunshot detection system.
The victim told police he had been assaulted and robbed by several men, according to the report. He was able to run from his attackers, who fired several shots at him as he fled, he told police.
The unnamed victim was not hit by gunfire.
An investigation by the city’s Violent Crimes Unit led to the arrests of Tobi and Brown on Thursday at a residence in the 3600 block of Winchester Avenue.
During a warranted search, police found 262½ grams of marijuana. Both men were taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility. .
