Philadelphia woman arrested in Atlantic City stabbing

A Philadelphia woman was arrested Monday after she allegedly stabbed another woman during a fight. Atlantic City Police Officers Shayne Dugan and Nicholas Rivera were stopped at about 3:40 p.m. at Tennessee and Atlantic avenues by a woman who had just been stabbed. The 33-year-old victim was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus for treatment to her stab wounds, which were not considered life-threatening. She and the suspect, Aaisha Muhammad, were in a physical altercation when Muhammad stabbed the unnamed victim, Sgt. Kevin Fair said. Muhammad, 20, was charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. She was taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
