Atlantic City firefighters were on the scene of fire Friday night at Carver Hall.
The blaze happened at 509 N. Tennessee Ave., where two rooms on the second floor were fully involved.
There were no rescues or injuries as of just before 10 p.m.
Twenty-one firefighters responded to the fire, including four who are currently on the layoff list, Fire Union President John Varallo said.
"(They're) still putting it all on the line for the city they love and swore to protect," he said.
