Atlantic City man arrested on first-degree drug charges

  • News

An Atlantic City man was arrested on first-degree drug charges after he allegedly sold more than 5 ounces of cocaine during a three-month investigation, police said.

Knocumus Dixon, 27, also had nearly an ounce of cocaine in his residence along with packaging materials at the time of his arrest in the first block of North Pennsylvania Avenue, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.

Members of the department's Special Investigations Section got a warrant to search the residence after a three-month investigation led by Detective Will Herrerias.

During that time, Dixon allegedly distributed more than 5 ounces of cocaine, which was also seized.

He was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession with intent to distribute, possession with intent to distribute within 500 feet of a public place, and possession with intent to distribute in a school zone.

Dixon was taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.

Anyone with information about drug distribution is asked to call the Special Investigations Section at 609-347-5858. Information may also be texted anonymously to tip411 (847411), beginning the text with ACPD.
