A Pennsylvania company will pay $3.5 million to resolve allegations that it caused a fire at the Federal Aviation Administration’s William J. Hughes Technical Center in Egg Harbor Township in 2012.
Bensalem-based EDA Contractors Inc. began roofing work at the Tech Center in May 2012. Part of that work involved replacing the roof of Building 300.
That building's roof became engulfed by fire June 22, 2012, about a half-hour after EDA’s workers finished for the day.
In the consent judgment agreed to by the United States and EDA, the contractors did not waive their rights to seek contribution from third-party defendant, ARMM Architecture Associates Inc.
