A Hamilton Township man is wanted on drugs and weapons charges after searches of two homes in the township led to drugs, guns and high-capacity ammunition, the prosecutor said.
Shawn Cunningham was distributing heroin and fentanyl thoughout the Atlantic County, Prosecutor Damon Tyner said.
On April 2, 2018, the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Gangs Guns and Narcotics Unit, Hamilton Township Police Department and the Atlantic County Regional SWAT Team executed two search warrants in Hamilton Township, New Jersey. The execution of these search warrants was in response to an investigation initiated by the Prosecutor’s Office’s Drug Related Death Unit.
As a result of this investigation, search warrants were executed on April 2 at homes in the 6000 block of Hoover Drive and 900 block of Catherine Court.
They found 650 wax folds of suspected fentanyl/heroin, a semi-automatic handgun with high capacity 30 round magazine, a .38 special revolver handgun, ammunition and about six pounds of marijuana.
He is wanted on charges of possession of heroin/fentanyl, distribution of heroin/fentanyl, along with weapons charges, including possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
